There is a whole tiny world of strange and beautiful creatures we rarely stop to really look at.
Moths with incredible patterns.
Beetles that look like tiny jewels.
Butterflies with wild shapes and colors.
Bugs so bizarre they almost don’t look real.
For the next 30 days, we’re going to draw them.
Each morning, you’ll meet a new moth, beetle, butterfly, caterpillar, or other wonderfully weird insect.
Take a good look at it. Notice its shape, colors, patterns, wings, legs, antennae and all the tiny details that make it interesting.
Then make your own version.
Draw it realistically. Simplify it. Make it wonky. Change the colors. Exaggerate the patterns. There is no right way to do it.
LOOK CLOSELY. PLAY WITH WHAT YOU SEE. MAKE IT YOURS.
By the end of the month, you’ll have a collection of 30 strange, beautiful little creatures, all interpreted through your own style.
The first Beetles, Moths & Beyond prompt drops Sept. 15!!
