The alphabet is simply the structure. YOU decide to do with 26 letters. Funny. Beautiful. Useful. Strange. Sentimental. Personal. Make a beautiful ABC book for a child you love. There is no correct subject. Here are some examples....

Book Hot Seats
Bring the page you need help, the cover you can’t figure out or the question keeping you stuck. Jen creative-directs projects live, and you learn from everyone else’s books too.

A creative director in your pocket. Send Jen a page, a cover decision, a question, or an “I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I’M DOING” moment. Get quick direction and keep moving.
Q/X/Z Hotline
“I NEED AN X.” “I HATE MY Q.” “WHAT THE HELL AM I SUPPOSED TO DO FOR Z?” Drop the problem in. We brainstorm. Onward.

The Unboxing Party
When our books arrive, we get together on zoom and open them. After weeks of looking at it on a screen, you finally get to hold it. Every maker will show off their finished book, tells us where the idea came from, and flips through favorite pages. Invite friends. Invite family. Afterwards you can ask to swap books with each other.
FAQs
Do I need to be an illustrator?
No. Draw, paint, photograph, collage, use typography, scan things, make digital illustrations, or use simple shapes. You need an idea you’re excited enough about to make 26 pages. Jen can help with the production part.
Do I need to know book design?
No. Jen provides the template and walks you through file setup and printing requirements.
What if I don’t have an idea?
Perfect. Come to the kickoff. We’ll figure it out.
What if I get behind?
You probably will at some point. Catch up. Make something simpler. Use an SOS Pass. Bring it to a Hot Seat. Ask the group. Make the imperfect page. Keep going.
Where will these be published?
There are several places you can publish. We will go through all of those options on our kick off call. Jen will give exact intructions on how to publish your book.
